In The People Speak, some of today’s leading performers and artists give voice to figures neglected by history. Brooklyn writer and scholar Moustafa Bayoumi describes some of his experiences facing anti-Arab racism and Islamophobia in his 2015 book This Muslim American Life: Dispatches from the War on Terror. Performed by Aasif Mandvi on March 21, 2017 in the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House.
